School Academic Performance

Hicks High School continues to strive for excellence as evidenced by its educational growth. The School Performance Scores (SPS) have increased each of the last thirteen years from 76.2 in 1999 to 121.9 in 2012. In the 2001, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2010, and 2011 terms our school was recognized by the Louisiana Department of Education as a "School of Exemplary Academic Growth" and consequently in 2001 & 2004 received monetary awards of $6800.00 and $4400.00, respectively. In 2005 we received $5000, and the amount for 2006 was $10,073.00.  H.H.S. was recognized for academic growth in 2012, 2013, and 2016 as a Top Gains School.  In 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016,  H.H.S. received a school performance rating from the Louisiana State Department of Education as an "Academic A School".
